Bare Feet

I wear no pads upon my feet
For I am not of the elite
I touch the ground on all I poll
And ask forgiveness as I stroll.

I sense the soul in every mass
Alas, I even sense the crass.
My feet are hands with which I feel
They are the stamps upon the seal.

I try my best to reach my goal
And vent all treasures to my soul.
I play the game of being born
Although my feet are being torn

It is our way to know our place?
Know each figment and its grace.
Be aware of all that’s his?
Be as one with all that is

So leave your naked feet to run
And you will be with earth as one.

Seymour darling boy this is absolutely utterly perfect, always your writing and message are pure poetic wonder, this morning your words really settle within my heart.

Alas, I even sense the crass.

They are the stamps upon the seal.

I try my best to reach my goal
And vent all treasures to my soul.

You always write with starlight, on occasion like this morning, you manage to reveal the great truths that we all need to know to enable us to walk through our lives. Thank you for this amazing and wonderful poem this morning, it is something really special. Of course I love it utterly utterly, perfect writing oh Sultan of the golden word. This is really perfect

Love and warm stuff

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm

Beautiful morning read Sy!
How I love to feel the grass beneath my bare feet...
but even moreso a sandy beach!
Mmmm, I think my feet just got a case of wanderlust.

Ahhh, as Moses was commanded, as he stood near the burning bush, "Take off your shoes, you are standing on Holy Ground."

Good poem!

Ooh, I love this philosophy, Sy...
I only wear shoes when I am forced to do so, and I have many callouses to show for it.

~ I loved the poem!

(big hugggssssssss) Oh my gosh, I have missed your wonderful words sooooo much, sweet friend, this reminded me of "Washing The Feet", the story of the Good Samaritian, where if we tread barefoot He will kindly wahs our feet and set us on our ways replenished! (sigh) This is wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Seymour, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

When I walk through your words I always seem to find small glimpses of myself, but, of course you write it so much more eloquently.  I love this, I really do, it's a keeper   It's good to read you again m'friend, you brought this theme to life so well!

Take care,

I remember long ago summer days when my feet only saw shoes for trips to church and to town... now my tender tootsies have to hippy hop over that same ground... the callouses that shed the stickers are long gone, traded in for corns and other ailments. *G* (But it's worth thorns and stone bruises just to see the look on my sister's face when she bellows at her kids to "get some shoes on" and then sees who's leading the barefoot parade. LOL)

I love this, Seymour... both for its own excellence and the memories it invoked. *S*

Sey, this has many thinking moments in it...
perhaps the best message, for me at least,
is the part simplicity plays in our lives:  the bare feet
we walk with, if we dare

not just a nature write, no. no...*s*
