Gray Gifting Dawn

~*Marge Tindal*~

Out across gray gifting dawn
there came a sloop of poetic song
Whispering thoughts in full regale
drifting into billowed sails~

Silence-in-tow on indigo sea
sextant searching port-of-call of me
Compass now in needle's fluctuate
quilling verse in soul's relate~

Herald now the voyager's sojourn
On calming waters ... new poetry was born~

~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~

A lovely poem, Marge...I could feel the rhythm of the sea as I read it.

Hard to beat poetry on the seas...Could
write a book of poetry lying under the
stars...rocking slowly with the seas
gently caressing the ship....Watch out,
you have got me thinking now...

Nicely done Marge!

Marge:  Being an ex-sailor, I can really feel the surge of the sea and the wind in my face!  Great poem!

Good morning Marge!
I've experienced this feeling and you describe it so well here.
For such a large giant that's so powerful it can be so soft and peaceful sometimes!!
Well done poet lady!

Margie darling sister of my soul and healer of the night, this is one of your finest writes ever you manage to clothe in words the ethereal feeling of thought, and no one does it better. I love this it is as are all yours fabulous. This is particularly fine in it’s haunting images I love it utterly utterly

Absolutely perfect flow, truly this is excellent writing, yes I utterly utterly love it. First class writing darling heart

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the eathquake wind and fire

Your poem and Hoot's "Passion's Quest" should be sailing side by side. *S* This is lovely, Marge. *S*

It would be nice
to hear you read this aloud
like waves lapping
against the hull...

Classic Marge-poetry..rhyme divine and always the prettiest poetic phrasing...
even slipped in some alliterations.
Lovely turn of phrase and metaphor.
