So today's your anniversary?
Well from the bottom of your heart,
Show your love how much ya care,
And head out to K-mart.

Let Martie pick out a card,
One that she'll adore,
Read it there then put it back,
You'll save two bucks or more!

Then just wait patiently,
For a sale to be announced,
Perhaps a blue light special!
On a bra or wool nightgown!

Then take her out to supper,
(A dinner just for two)
Perhaps Big Mac or Whopper,
It's really up to you!

Then cruise on thru a graveyard,
(Flowers are always nice)
Grab a bottle of Mad Dog,
It's quite tasty over ice.

Tell her how much ya love her,
How you'd do anything for your mate,
Get out of your clothes immediately,
Before the kids awake!

Martie's husband is still laughing...but, your poem is too late...we already did it, (I mean that anniversary date).  Went to a movie, yup...was lots of blood shed there, then ate some sushi, then came home to this most funny poem.

Thanks Toe for this really good advice...just means that you were thinking of me...awwwww!!

I particularly like the part about reading the cards and putting them back... We could expand that and include the gifts too, couldn't we??... and just have a picnic on the restaurant lawn... This is a PLAN...LOL

Love it, Toe..

Toe, you are the epitome of good taste, but like all tomes perhaps it is because you have been left on the shelf for too long.
Good write, but if everyone read the poems and put them back how would us greeting card poets make a living.

ROFLMAO... Now yanno, Toe... I've known for a long time that you're an absolute treasure... and here ya go lettin' everyone in on the secret, showin' how kind and considerate you are... and even letting Martie and her husband in on the secrets for a top-notch celebration! LOL

This is classic, sweets... I just wish I'd read it sooner... I could have let Daddy read the cards in the store and saved buying one for Father's Day! LOL
