Heat Of Passion

The heat of passion fills my heart
as sun rays warm my flesh
Unerringly our course we chart
where souls can take refresh

We wished upon the stars at night
while gazing at the moon
From first glance two hearts taking flight
showing we weren’t immune

In strong arms I take nightly rest
sharing love from within
The magic is real, I attest
our future will begin

The sparkle in your eyes ignites
shivers of heat inside
They make me sigh from delights
your gentle touch applied

A love no longer fantasy
each waking hour now filled
Bringing with it ecstasy
that leaves me quite fulfilled

I'm asking the same question as Enchantress.....I hope it's true and there's a great love there for you....I really enjoyed the upbeat swing of this poem!

The role of poetry is to utter the un-utterable; to open up
spaces of consciousness and resistance; to language oppressions; to
re-language historie

Karen,

A truly beautiful poem...which you do so
very well....filled with hope and so much
more...  I wish you every thing,  that each
dream comes true and that you have all that
you have ever wished for...

Karen, I insist on an announcement posting details, if this is a true story
Love the poem, and the happiness it signifies.
