Rendezvous

Your smile, strawberry in the drunken light of the night.
We touch with our eyes,
soft sounds of rhythm play along
to the waltz in our heart.
A ghost from the past drifts in sounding echoes,
the thoughts and prayers of buried dreams,
dreams never captured by their vows.

Retrospect the soul's thief, a late cracksman
to rob the peace,
the final calm with lost faith
on a shelf of promise left in haste.

Yet, your succulent sweet breasts heave on
a wave flowing into
the revolution of darkness we share.

Sub rosa, we lie peaceful easy where,
replete with love, we're drowsy,
servants of our hearts
as we ride on dreams made from wishes
slowly fading into a recurring strange night......................

The role of poetry is to utter the un-utterable; to open up
spaces of consciousness and resistance; to language oppressions; to
re-language historie

that sings gentle music
from the dreams two now weave

*sigh* beautiful...I love its soft music...

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

Deep words here, passionate and sad..drenched with sweetness and bittered a bit with recall..yet filled with peace also.  Lovely to read!

Eric, I wish I had written most of that
The images you evoke are priceless!
I think I will steal some of this ... beware

this is a little different style for you...love seeing poets try new things...
I love the haunted, mystic feel to this...
it has a angsty edge to it that drew the reader in as well as the imagery.
Love that first line.

You ...
You are still a whisper on my lips ...
A feeling at my fingertips.

Eric,
well I've been given the heave ho, been asked to heave to but I've never had breasts to heave on unless you mean breats close to heaven. I enjoyed your write even if it's not about me. Unless it is about me and you mean deep, deep, bottom of the world south.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown
