This woman who gave me so much-- life and love and mother's touch-- charity of heart and soul-- she gave me cherished band of gold. The ring of trust my father gave, his voice of love beyond the grave... in marriage, still, he holds my hand-- "He'll be there". I understand. * * * I wanted to explain, for once. Today was my 41st birthday. We had planned a small celebration--just a N'Awlins style crawfish and beer thing. I invited my mother, but did not expect her to come. (She hasn't been the same since my father's death, last July. They were married 50 years, and she lost half of her when we buried him. But she showed, and her presence was present enough. But then, while we discussed my upcoming marriage? She pulled a simple gold band out, and said, casually, "try this on..." and like Cinderella? IT FIT Yes...she gave me the ring, my father gave to her, over 50 years ago, knowing that I grieved that he would not be here to "give me away"...as if he ever could. Now? They will both be with me always. How could I have ever doubted?  I love... |

Thank you all so much...I sometimes feel like I am agonizing people with slide shows of my life...but I did wanted to share this very special--healing moment! and all my friends, I love ya so much...m'deer? I have been "Miss Antartica" and I have been "Miss Salsa" too! hmmmm...grin...so?
