Deep down in the valley
There lies a lake of sapphire blue
Surrounded by pines and wildflowers
So very magical is this view

A jewel in the crown of beauty
Nature displaying her very best
A place to escape life's problems
Where a troubled soul can rest

As we meander down the hillside
I pick some flowers for my hair
With only the birds to keep us company
It seems we are the only ones there

We'll savour the cool clear water
And lie together on the grass
This day is total perfection
And the lake looks just like glass

We absorb the peace and quiet
Blowing dandelions through the air
Here our troubles are non existent
Life goes on without a care

This day is all but over
But our love is here to stay
The sun sinks below the mountains
Heralding the end of a perfect day

Sue,

YAY!!! Oh Sue, I have missed you and your gorgeous words so so much, I was in California this past week and I had a fun time! (kiss on cheek) You paint a happy place with your golden pen, sweet friend, may we all go there and find smiles about, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

You do this so beautifully...I can tell you are a true child of nature. There is tranquility in all of your nature poems--grin...yer poetry is downright "mood-altering"

Keep up with the commune, lady poet!
