Apricot Morning
~*Marge Tindal*~

Out across the break of morn
an apricot sky in glowing adorn
rose upon my serenity
with just a tinge of 'wait for me'~

Shedding gentle shafts of light
she had gathered through the night
Sharing the shades of her palette hues
as she came swiftly into my view~

Soft the touch of gentle sun
when upon a morn begun
lays in colors resplendently spread
across the woodsey forest beds~

Ah, tis beauty beyond the word
of poets waiting to be heard
She pirouettes in fervored dancing
then out across the meadow goes prancing~

That she would come to flavor my morn
with apricot hues of mellowing adorn
affirms to me that it's awfully nice
to rise before the cock crows thrice~

~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~

Those cotton pickin' roosters....they never
are on time so that we can see those apricot
morns.....   Love the pic, so fitting...

You made hungry for apricots......and
sunrises...

So very enchanting, Marge...
I should probably get up earlier...I always miss sunrise because I don't do mornings...but you have given me a reason to wake up early now.
Thank you!

Make that MOST poets, dear lady... for while describing a sunrise adequately is beyond most of us, you've painted a picture with your pen that rivals what the camera captured. *S* Absolutely beautiful!!! *S*

Not sure which is better...the poet, or the gift she found....

perhaps it is just a marriage
made right....

This verse alone captures the beauty in it's own right but tie it together with your entire piece and you have a beautiful start to any day.
