I'm goin' out to bout' with the loud town girl we'll wear no shoe spats to the backyard shivaree she'll be bendin' the air on her foot dance toes and startlin' up to wake the echo folk boys I'll be her pebblestone man, her chuckie rock roy but she'll say I'm a gem of first water, one she'll leave the sticky smell on night wind buttons when ol' shawondasee dances her round town she'll make the eddys swirl in their skin sides makes the chokedamp panting want more breathe she gets the reverine magnets in her lady wine like voodoo rags and bones she gets so naughty bad she says there ain't no mornin' for sleepy time when she gets the dusky night in her window eyes she'll give me smother valley lovein' songs will say my young man make her belly tickle fire when we go spill the zydeco at the rowdy dow now ©Dark it is all just dancin' |
