The Seeding Cloud

The very moment I sought it out,
long enough to submit
to curiosity,
to tilt my head up
questioning,

it swiftly gathered
into a face I knew —
darkness, seeding,
spreading overhead.

That emptiness:
devoid of tenor,
quivering,
beyond flesh,
aria of the lost;

I hoped it was imagined,
projected in my own rising panic,
anything, anything
other than that image —
a relay
after death,
from you.

Well done, Corinne.  Well done, indeed.

Corinne~
Your ink-of-thought often leaves me spell-bound~
This is one of those times~

'The very moment I sought it out,
long enough to submit
to curiosity,
to tilt my head up
questioning,

it swiftly gathered
into a face I knew —
darkness, seeding,
spreading overhead.

I hoped it was imagined,
projected in my own rising panic,
anything, anything
other than that image —
a relay
after death,
from you.'

Absolutely REAL and stunning~
