Nonsense at Large, What a Charge!

Waiting for the clock to tick
and all it does is tock;
waiting for my thoughts to stick
and all they do is walk.

Wonderin’ where you’ve taken time
and left me with the dregs;
wonderin’ where you’ve written rhyme
with thoughts that only beg.

Nonsense is a silly thing
it leaves one all asea
carving litter in the brain
like Aussie’s wallaby.

The pendulum of hours and days
swings both fro and to
marking off a winsome daze
pining thoughts of you.

How does one disembark
a ship that’s sailed the sea
on pigeon’s toes or wing of lark
above the great green tree?

Whispers in my mind concede
that world is busy dizzy
and sends one off on tangent deed
leaving all within a tizzy.

I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Thanks, Interloper, yeah I probably should have stopped there, but it was too much fun to go on.
