Who’s That?

Is that someone behind you?
Or just the wind that’s blowing through?
Where those steps you heard just then?
Or a whispering moan of when?
Who’ll be there to hear you cry?
Or hold you tight and feel your sigh
There’s no one who can give aid
You’re in a trap that fear has made

Is there someone waiting for you?
In the dark you feel its true
What is the fear that knows your name?
Will it drive you quite insane?
Is there a chance you’ll break the chain?
Or you won’t feel stabbing pain?
There’s no one there to hear you call
Or to catch you when you fall

Is there someone standing near you?
In the shadow shaded blue
Where will you hide when they come back?
Will you find the spine you lack
Can you hear the whispering still?
Does it give your heart a chill?
There’s no chance you’ll ever be free
You’re held by fear constantly
