Through The Doorway That Is You
Dedicated to ‘Deer

Through The Doorway That Is You
In thought of lingering touch of mind
I slowly rewind the thought and
Waiting For The Call I hear it
Strumming against the
Flow of this delicate touch
This brushing of my memory
With fingertips graced with light

Who teaches souls to sing anew?
Rising and then falling with
Livings’ beat its pulsing flow
Measures breaths of this
This is the pure poet’s kiss

Don’t Ask me To Write A Poem
Because I couldn’t capture this
Ethereal trace of fine’s divine
And when you’re soaring up there
Say Hello To God For Me, tell him
Thank you for your gift of write
I would take A Bugman’s Advice
And simply read these words of
Wise and from within arise renewed

Rhymes sublime in metered time
In flow of pace then carries
Hearts in bind to days gone by
To thoughts of yes I heard him say
The world is made of poet’s ray

There’s A Small Pain In My Chest
A pain of self realisation that
I Shall Never Be A Poet not while
The world turns and the sun still rises
Then while the wind blows through me
I read and marvel at how great you are
And how unsuitable am I to write
An apt and truthful tribute to
The king of metered rhyme divine
But this is my attempt to say
Even if it’s just once that
‘Deer you ARE definitely a POET
I found poetry Through The Doorway That is You

Krissy

Nice try mum but mine is much better don’t you think?

And while thy willing soul transpiers
at every pore with instant fires

Krissy, this is a wonderful tribute to Balladeer. He is an amazingly gifted writer, and you've captured some of his most exquisite pieces via his titles. Very nicely done!

Best wishes,
/Kit

Krissy,
you and your mother both have done wonderful tributes to the mighty one, the styles are unique and yet intertwine to form a heartshape bond of love.
I don't know about 'deer but I love this.

Oh boy!

Krissy,  this is divine...and being a smart
person....I WILL NOT,  repeat.....WILL NOT
take sides....(Your Mum threatened to do
great harm to me)

I know that 'Deer is smiling from all of
these beautiful words (from both of you)..

Geesh! Is there no end to the talent in that family? Krissy, this is awesome...I am humbled (or as much as I can be) by this beautiful poem. Thank you so very much..

Who is better, you or your mum? Oh, Krissy, who is better...the sun or the moon, the apple or the orange, the hokey or the pokey? You are both dynamite ladies as well as poets....don't ask me to choose. I'll take you both!!

Thank you, sweet woman-child

the wonder that is your thoughts
even when sharing your joy in another's
it comes across like velvet tongues
