Greater movement
sloshes my fluid soul

Blur of speed guarantees
a shallower tide

Halt gives pause
and so less rippled angst

Thin impatience ebbs,
recedes to placid looks

Deepening a need
a need to there not go.

"Hey Cadillac! Did you
buy the handicap package?
Blue ribbon winner whose
windshield's a curio display
of your moron collection!"

"Hey pinhead! that's
the only shade of green!"

"Did cousins produce the
driver of that truck?"

Of all things red's
reducer of the rage,

In metal missles
now I see the "thems".

Old woman whose drive
shall not go much more,

The foreign one
small children in the back,

Long labored lad
who'd squeeze a bit of life

Between the tides
whose laps erode our souls

I LOVE YOU ALL!!

(just get out of my way)

That was cool. I could feel the anger building.

I have spent lots of time on the highway lately, Rich...
and I think I know all of these people in your poem...and you describe them so well...
But I would like to add one, if you don't mind.
He's the driver of the big macho pickup truck, who cuts across 3 lanes to get to the exit so he can get to his girly show on time.

RS, you certainly painted a cool picture of the highway of life.

Richard, where have your been   ...   stuck in traffic all this time?

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.
