inspired by Lauren (Greeneyes). . .thank you. . .

she began this time as part of them
one half of the centerpiece
       of this matched set
not just a face in a faded photograph
but part of a story that began long ago
and would have to wait for its conclusion
              when time found her again

the day came when they were removed from the set
and placed upon a shelf of their own
in another one of life's rooms
a room where they had to be on their own
       but one where she grew
              where she flourished
                     where she was loved

she waited
waited to again become a part of that set
they watched and searched
searched for the ones that would know their eyes
              never losing hope
knowing that they would walk into that room one day
and find the set they belonged to

and so, the day came
the day came when she, now fully aged
again took her rightful place with the set
she was welcomed back with open arms
       and open souls
and, in the end, it turned out
       that she was never lost,
but, just waiting to be found

oh, to be "part of a story that began long ago"

that is a wonderful conjuring up a wonderful feeling, Sven, interesting piece, "part of a set" yes, a lovely, lovely thought

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

John~

you have taken a part of my heart and explained it in a way I could never do....thank you for sharing your kind soul of words with tender emotion.....

I have printed this, and saved it...it was a long road, but the journey "home" has been well worth the wait....

Lauren~

Its been a long road
Getting from there to here
Ive known a wind so cold, seen the darkest days
but now the winds I feel are only winds of change

thank you all my friends. . .

when I read Lauren's story, I was amazed. . . it really spoke to a part of me. . . then, the words came, and I found that I was telling the story as though I had been a part of it, never knowing that I was speaking with the voice that always needs to be heard. . .

Lauren, I've always been able to hear the words. . . and I'm glad that I could hear these words and share them with you. . . thanks for being a friend, and for just being you. . .

Sven,
I know this is not the case but I had images of salt and pepper shakers all the way through. Thank you for sharing this.

Sven, this is SO beautiful and expertly penned my friend.
If you don't mind I am keeping it as well...
...for I have a similar story.
And, I am hoping one day to find the words to write it out.

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Sven, this story touched my heart so very deeply because when I was a boy I was depressed all the time and I felt I was buried in the Twilight Zone surrounded by black cats and zombies without faces then I knew I was just in the wrong place when compassion found me! (sigh) This is excellent, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light awlays shine upon you!

Love,

Sven darling boy and keeper of dreams guises, this is spectacular writing. The type of writing that takes you into the very heart of it and holds you captured and spell bound until the last word. Writing such as this is too fine, too rare to be tossed aside carelessly, or read too quickly in haste. Writing such as this must be allowed to sink into the soul of the reader and settle like a mantle over the spirit. Imparting wisdom, sharpening the senses and giving the soul such wonder, such thoughts, that they inspire, and stir that place within.

Okay this isn’t a novel so I’ll finish rhapsodising, and simply say this has been written with pure skill, and yes I utterly utterly love it.

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the eathquake wind and fire
Oh
