just one thing
one
is all I need
to lay my hand
upon your cheek
touch the dimple
where you smile
stand and gaze
at you for awhile
simply that
nothing more
public displays
are what I
abhor
but in the quiet
of evenings dusk
I’ll lean against
the man I trust
and touch his
cheek
tenderly
and hope he
sees the love
in me
