There Will Come A Time
Dedicated to ‘Deer
A compilation of titles

There Will Come A Time when I stop reading you
I think that will be when my life is through
These ballads that flow from your pen are so fine
Intoxicate me like a fine vintage wine
When I’m old and greying in The Nursing Home
I’ll recall those times of poetry’s foam
I’ll tell The Dummy who’s as deaf as a post
And say come my friend I give you a toast

To the Poet Who Writes on Napkins here’s to you
May your words ever shine in accents so true
There’s no doubt you write For The Common Man
When your writing touches all that it can
Abraham, Martin & John were men of note
But I doubt if any one of them ever really wrote
Words that touched a soul like yours do
When I read Treblinka that’s when I knew

The Memory Of Marie that was a stunning piece
Such magic you weave may your pen never cease
How To Be A Famous Poet a very witty write
As always your words flow with deep delight
Good humour and wit mixed with skill and grace
Writing so fine you always hold poet’s place
Ask The Fortune Teller and she would reply
Your writing dear ‘Deer really makes me sigh

For PiP’s writers and The Man Who Liked Poetry
This is dedicated to you and written by me
For those Night Travellers who wish to read this
Imagine if you will a simple poetic kiss
Within your poems I’ve walked roads of hope
I’ve listened to songs and heard of ways to cope
I thank you dear ‘Deer your writing is sublime
And I truly believe that There Will Come A Time

Marsha

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the eathquake wind and fire
Oh

Superb Marsha, don't we all love 'our' Deer!
He has made himself famous on blue pages here
I see some titles I still have to read
A true tribute to a great poet indeed

Ah, Mushy, what a sweet thing for you to do! Those archives have your footprints all over the place!!

Thank you for such thoughtful words, kind miss. If I have added just one minute of enjoyment to your life then it's all worth while. Because of people like you (and those wonderful offspring), I keep on writing.

Your recognition makes me glow....I thank you

Mushy,  this is super!  And I see that 'Deer
thought so too....You worked very hard to
make this poem the masterpiece that it is...

Oh what a beatiful tribute to Balladeer, Marsha.  As I was reading it, I wished that I had been here earlier so that I could read all of the wonderful poems he wrote, that I had missed.  Maybe I'll search the archives and read them all.
I read Krissy's tribute too!  Both are excellent...totally different styles and I could never say that one is better than the other....
they are both really terrific.
Michael must be quite flattered that you two are fighting over him...LOL

~ loving hugs

Seymour darling heart

A tribute I wrote with one intent
To write of a man heaven sent
His poems flow with style and grace
Rather like you he has wit and pace
Here’s to ‘Deer I let’s raise a cheer
To the perfect poet Balladeer
