This week I delved into the "minor arcana" of the Rider-Waite Tarot Deck (because unlike other decks, the lesser cards are fully illustrated) and I opted to choose a card that is less fussily illustrated, and this one has been the subject of poetric themes many, many, times. So this week, I present to you, The Three of Swords!

The same rules do not apply, because I didn't have any to begin with.

Thanks all who participated last week, and for those who didn't, well maybe this one will "speak" to you louder.

serenity, artic, Iliana, Angel,
Thank you all for the read and reply, since you did, and based on your responses
I think you may have missed it, in keeping with the interpretations involved in the Tarot, I've incorporated a double acrostic into this piece. Call it our secret, thanks again.

I should have known you'd toss in a surprise...that one was too easy for ya, huh?

(I'm actually surprised I missed it--but then, I'm sure I've missed a lot of subtleties in your work.)

Thanks for the extra effort, Doc!

serenity,
Thanks dear, no, not too easy, I know basically nothing of the Tarot. But I can learn, just as I've learned most of what I know about poetry here, at this sight. This
series ( at least I hope it is ) has been not only inspirational and informative, but also fun. Please keep 'em coming.
Doc

Oh, and as an after thought to "just another pete", Hey, what part of "secret"
escaped to be posted in open?
Oh well,
Doc
