so i went to a pinsky reading and one thing he talked about was writing a poem about the next thing you touch.
this led to things like pen, keyboard, other hand, etc.
The Proposed Challenge is to write a poem on something you previously thought pedantic, pedestrian, quotidienne, unpoetic, soulless (i think it is one l but two of them make it symetric which i like); you get the idea.
something like toilet bowl, or tube of toothache killer, or hairbrush.
below is one of mine as an example: some you you may have seen it before.
her curves call to my loins and heart all at once
I drink her in as the light from her eyes illuminates the night,
she turns smoothly as we climb higher,
her skin has a soft sheen in the moonlight,
with a throaty roar I drive her harder,
faster, and she purrs under me;
my '69 stingray vette;
if she were a woman, I would marry her.
