Ok I have a challenge for all you who be brave of heart. I have noticed from reading my own poetry and reading the poetry of others on the net that our poetry can be self-analytic. Of course writing poetry is a great form of therapy but there is a world beyond us, a world that does not revolve across our very being. Simply put, write about something without giving into self analysis. Stay external…no couch psychiatry.

Maybe I'm getting too into this, but... how can you when everything is "connected" in one form another? I don't think I know how to write a poem without it having some kind of inner meaning or reflection of me. I will try though...

Moon Dust, thanks for trying the challenge, maybe not at the moment but at some stage I know you will be able to do it. It is a hard challenge.

Dark, I don't think any poem can be successful written without it having some kind of inner meaning to the writer, try to write something and remove yourself from the poem if at all possible, try to keep the poem from being self-analytic. IT is hard challenge and I don't know if I can complete this one myself, with the dreaded writer's block. Here is one that might qualify from my notebooks. /pip/Forum50/HTML/000002.html

yes and they still haven't paid me for all the free advertising I gave them, in light of their last album album Amesniac I better change the photograph.

I love Amnesiac. But then again, I have a fondness for the Coldplay track "Clocks," so there's no telling with me.
