I am stuck..not happy with anything I'm writing lately and very jealous of you all that can write and write and write. Sigh. I'm sorry. I need some challenge phrases please. Or email me a 'profile' of a PiP member and I'll write a poem for them from 'their secret admirer'... or if you have any unusual anecdotes or newspaper stories.. or maybe just a swift kick in the poetic behind? thanks! |

She weeps as she walks alone moonlight like mist drizzling down brings memories of ash and shadow like the mud stains on her gown whispers of screams linger here the souls who never got free but felt the sting of fire’s kiss as Angels sang their eulogy Four hundred souls died this night Locked in the bowels of Satan’s boat Children died in mother’s arms last cries issued from their throat her shoes are gone, lost to the sea as her heart slowly breaks in two her lover lay in Neptune’s bed in the wreck of the Richelieu |
