The challenge should you choose to accept it
is to write a poem about your favourite book,
not why you enjoyed the book but to write from the context of the story.

For example "Wuthering Heights" write from the point of view of Heathcliff or Catherine or write about the love affair.

Post in Open 14 and please remember to mention the book that you have choosen and maybe sum up the plot in a few lines.

I will admit that I wrote the poem I posted before coming up with this challenge so just to show I am not cheating or lazy I will write another poem on a different book.

"you are what you own in this land, you can be king and it all depends on the view and what you can see"  Whipping boy

You, lazy? No way...

but that this is quite coincidental with a book that was recently recalled to my attention [after some 30 years] and yes, I would like to take on this challenge...

but after I do some research as it's been quite a while, and I will want my facts straight....

Hi Brian, this was posted in Open 12 some time ago, and I haven't conquered the links send, as yet. But here it is, actually based on a movie from 1979, which was based on a book. LOL does that count?

Sonnet for Jennie Logan

She walked into another time
and found the love she always knew
his arms around her so sublime
a full born fantasy come true.

It seemed it was a magic dress
that brought her back to love so real
the man so different from the rest
how easily her heart could feel.

She had to choose; go back or stay
give up the now for what was then
she knew there was no other way
no question who, no doubt of when.

To David's arms did Jennie flee
and there she found eternity.
