What do people here think of muses, like the one that Milton invoked in Paradise Lost?

I think an interesting poetry challenge would be for everyone here to create their own set of muses, and write a poem about them.  I'm assuming that muses are the personification of your creative talents.  Therefore, they'd probably be different for each person.

i remember when JM lost her muse in here. i wrote one about that... i'll post it back up. and when i think up one for this challenge, i shall post it as well. (in Open)

an excellent challenge...

I was thinking of the immortal words of Socrates who said, "I drank what?"

Wow ... an interesting perspective ...

I shall have to see if I can get my rusty old wheels turning on this one ... thank you!

Remember: maintaining a positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will certainly annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.
