The Green Swamp ~*Marge Tindal*~ Among the towering Cypress trees greeting my morning stomp Fowl and fauna of nature dwells in the bayou of The Green Swamp Headway waters of Florida's underground aquifer abounds Sending life to all in clear, cool sips of water's surround Cranes, Egrets and Foxes play among the Elderberry on display 'Tis the place that I love to roam this Green Swamp that I call home Wild Blackberries on the bush brambled-sweet delight Oh, the sound of Crickets chirping far into the night Fragrance of Magnolia lemony-nostril treat Butterfly-laden Sawgrasses trod softly 'neath my feet Moonlight covers The Green Swamp putting all to rest Great Horned Owl nestles little ones in the nest I breathe in the beauty Green Swamp in all her splendor Thinking this is just the way my forefathers did remember I do all I can to keep the majesty pristine Remembering the legendary spirits walking through my dreams If you have a chance and happen to come my way I'll share the wonder of The Green Swamp on any given day ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |

Marge this is beautiful and I'd love to share the bayou with you, share every magical sight and sound. Great work!
