somebody/everybody/anybody write an insomniac's prayer---a lullabye for serenity---puh-lease!   something soothing, something sweet...put me to sleep with a tranquilizer dart if necessary....

any and all replies accepted...serenity is exhausted.

hi serenity, i dont know if this will do but i shall give it a whirl ...

Hush my darling, no more tears
As nite falls upon us fatigue is near

You are within the tranquility of my arms
The sounds of crickets dancing admist the freshly cut lawn
The site of fireflies brighten the darkness in the skies
The petals of buttercups now close for bloom at dawn

Close your eyes my love and open your mind
Soar with me into dreamland tonight

I rest now silent adoring you as you sleep
I feel your breath and heartbeat
Soon I too will join you
Goodnight my darling
I shall protect you

my sweet serenity dont you cry ...
I will write me twin a soothing lullabye
I will be back soon with a rhyme and verse
I hope to free you from this sleepless curse
I wish to try, indeed I do...
I'll ask me muse to come back just for you
She is still mad at me, me thinks...
still cant write and MAN that stinks ...
but my baby dont you fret...
maybe this boring poem will put you to sleep yet.
Im off to find me muse ...
so I can sing me sweet the blues.

(forgive me...Im desperate) LOL
im gonna try tho...

miles to go before I sleep
prayers to say, promises to keep,
(a lullaby i wish to find,
for me sweet serenity.)...

rest now my child
let your weary heart run wild
find your peace in my company

close your eyes to the night
hold on to morns light
delivered each day by destiny

sleep now till tomorrow
dreams know no pain or sorrow
fates gifts of reverie

a lullabye to say
a light to find your way
the future for us to see

all your promises now kept
peace found while you slept
lay down in sheets of sanctuary

kiss the moon and touch the sky
on wings of doves you fly
in your dreams you fly free

steal the night and hold the sun
then rest when this day is done
sweet dreams for my sweet serenity

Janet Marie--

how did i find this sister, mine,
across the miles, thought serpentine?
within my heart, my words your words--
lovely understanding--HEARD.
If ever you should lose yourself--
know I am book upon the shelf,
reach for me--reach for my hand,
sister, means she understands...

---Janet Marie---now I am stunned...nothing awful about you, thank you, m'friend for the depth of your understanding me---damn near impossible, or so I've been told...
would say i'd keep this in my heart always, but as usual, I find it was already there--
waiting for you to give it voice...kisses back and GREAT BIG LOVING ARMS TO HUG YOU CROSS THE MILES...

thank you me sweet for this lovely gift of verse.
you know how I treasure poetry, as it is a true gift of the heart...

I begged me muse ...
I needed redemption *smile*
we will she how long she sticks around...
such a moody little muse (sheeeesh)
me thinks me muse would be use to ME by now.

as for you...NOT hard to understand...
all one must do is read between the lines
with a heart, instead of eyes...
( a talent SOME men just dont possess)
but oh how we seem to be drawn to their flame
*sigh* of (resign)(complacency)
you know ... I know ... we know.
(and I wonder why me muse hides)
sweet dreams me sweet...
loves ya

Ok this sounds like a challenge

this is going to be off the top my head, live and improvised.

Stars

The stars close tonight,
poetic one snuggle in your blanket
with moon stones and dream gems
no nightmares can touch us safe in passions
playground. We shall whisper from your screen and serenade you into sleep
the day closes the stars shine,
galaxy of sleep a bed of serenity,
close you eyes to see a morning
bright and joyful.
=================

well I know it does not rhyme, but maybe if you put some soft music to it and had some one whisper the words while a flock of sleep jumped over a fence, it could be a lullaby.

Douglas Adams.

Small Black Flowers That Grow In The Sky

"You have your very own number
They dress your cage in its nature
Once you roared now you just grunt lame
Pace around pathetic pound games

Wanna get out won't miss you sensaround
To carry your own dead to swing your tyre tricks
Wanna get out here you're bred dead quick
For the outside,
The small black flowers that grow in the sky

They drag sticks along your walls
Harvest your ovaries dead mothers crawl
Here comes warden, Christ, temple, elder
Environment not yours you see through it all

Wanna get out won't miss you sensaround
To carry your own dead to swing your tyre tricks
Wanna get out here you're bred dead quick
For the outside,
The small black flowers that grow in the sky

Here chewing your tail is joy"

How could I refuse this one?

sleep gently oh child of the light
rest your weary head and slumber this night
let your mind open to all that is real
pick up that book, and pry open that seal

let your mind take you on wings of flight
and give peace to your gentle sight
let your dreams much to you reveal
as you open yourself to new things to feel

gentle serenity, daughter of the light
give ear to my gentle song this night
hear now the stars gentle appeal
and close your eyes, listening to that tender peal

i like it here
i feel sway by the wind
your words
so well balanced on a trapèze
well coordinated
but liberating
thank you
for letting me spell my name
