Poet deVine,
How about:
"The grass looks greener on the other side"

"Gentle breeze flows, ever so still is the silence, blinking at the eye of the storm" and a poetess finds remedy to a block...

If I had been any help, I will be honoured...

I will think up more, but what themes do you prefer?

On second thinking, what I am doing? Me having the guts to suggest the poetess words to write about !!!!

Anyway, lots of regards, sudhir.

Hmm Poet...here are a couple

The Soul sank  with the setting sun

Clouds overtook the Bright Soul

Dancing Souls under the shining moon

Hmm...maybe those will help...I hope that they do..

Hey deVine, try these. . .

Where the heart is. . .

His heart I have carried. . .

Fly gentle spirit. . .

Yearning light....
Breaking dawn....
Shadow stilled....
Withered, begone....
Harking song....

I know how it is... months with nothing and then one phrase, one image starts you off again, saves you writer's block. Well here are a few off the top my head..

words broken and unending

eyes of glass turn winter pale,

bleached skin fawning in frozen snow,

virgins in a devil's dance.

a youth perspective twisted to elder vantage
--------------------

none of these can even compare
to the images you create in your poems,

Christopher gave me the first line of this poem....

Whils't gentle winds surround my thoughts
Silence bears my witness here
Hearing not of what I see
Nor seeing naught of what I hear

Trembling hands foretell my fear
Hesitation my friend in time
First steps taken up to last
I begin another rhyme

Fair are the friends who offer
To ease this poet’s plight
Shadows chased from muse ablock’d
I step into the light.

Thank you Sudhir!

Ever so still is the silence
Blinking at the eye of the storm
Earth’s gentle breeze flows
Keeping here mantle warm

Mother Nature’s tears flow
Raining sadness upon the land
Angry lightening hurled
From passionate Mother’s hand

Ill-used gift, mocking Mother’s heart
Graffiti written upon the wind
Days pass quickly, all will be lost
As some never know they sinned.

Thank you Daniel!!! Your words inspired a new chapter to my 'Immortal Woman' series...
Immortal child, her name is Soul
Delights in learning the game
The sword becomes her favorite toy
She wields it without shame

Twelve years old, a youngling
She wandered from the Immortal camp
Lost and bewildered
Alone, cold and damp

The Soul sank with the setting sun
To rest upon fallen leaves
Not knowing that her recklessness
Is why her mother grieves

Morning clouds overtook the bright Soul
The Sun protected her from life’s harms
Immortal clan enfolded her
Held her fast in sisterly arms

Dancing Souls under the shining moon
Safe from mortal sins of man
The band of sisters, so few now
Surviving as best they can.

Sven!!! Thank you...

Where the heart is cliché’s phrase
I seek it still with him there
Hidden behind the façade of friend
In expressions to tender to share

His heart I have carried within my own
Little does he know it, I fear
Fly gentle spirit, words of love
From my heart to my lover’s ear.

Brian, thank you..a bit of freedom with your words....

eyes of glass
turn winter pale,
death takes this
last advantage

words broken
and unending
youth perspective
twisted to elder vantage

as bleached skin fawning in frozen snow
we are virgins in a devil's dance
fate laughs at our foolish desire
as we seek to find a romance.

Thank you my friends..I'm afraid they are not as good as your words would require..but I decided to write them one after another...25 minutes....I apologize.

Ok here it is:

When the moon touches the stars,
And the stars sparkle enternally....

We are all poets, its just some people dont know it yet.

Maria!!! (Did I ever tell you I'm glad to see you here!?) Thank you for the phrase..

They stood before their families
No longer children in their hearts
Both vowing to love each other
Both seeking life’s fresh starts

Her pain; a shadow of what it was
His anger, flown away in delight
Hands joined, smiles reflecting
The passion that begins tonight

“When the moon touches the stars,
And the stars sparkle eternally
Til God called them home they vowed
To love each other faithfully

Becky, here is number one...thanks!

If I had a YUGO
My life would be complete
It would satisfy my desire
Driving it would be so sweet

My wife tells me I’m crazy
My mother-in-law just glares
But if I want to drive one
It doesn’t matter if anyone cares

I wear my lime green leisure suit
With my shirt of darkest peach
With my Raybans, I’m a king
I'm outside mere mortals reach

So when the wife is yelling
Tom, Dick, Harry, Bob or Hugo
Life can be much sweeter
If you only had a Yugo

It doesn't look like you need any help,Sharon, --but it is a challenge to me to come up with some suggestive phrases for you
Here are some poem fodder phrases:

"Such are promises I'll ne'er make"

and in a similar vein:

"Oh the regrets I've ne'er had to face..."

on the lighter side...

"I want to be a country bumpkin..."

or

"As your First Lady President, here's what I plan to do..." (sorry I overran the words on this one- but I think it would be interesting!)   David

Sharon, I just stopped in to see what this
was all about.  WOW - what a masterful
poet you are.

I shall not give you any phrases your
writer's block has disappeared.
PS when I get the block I pick three letters
from the alphabet and make myself write down
the first word that comes to my head for
each of those three letters ------- I have picked some very strange words --) AND I must
use those words in the poem.

r  rat
a  attitude
c  crab

those were the letters and words that popped in my head. AND what a challenge?

Beautiful poetry, Sharon

Shaking head, wondering why
The world has gone suddenly mad
TV blares another riot ensues
A child killed, another family sad

To turn away seems only right
What you don’t see won’t cause you harm
But if you don’t look, who will testify
Who will ring out sanity’s alarm?

Hate has become the word of the day
Questions spewed, expecting venom’s lies
Just smile, in faith, and answer not
Love's reply rests in your eyes

He left her in the darkened forest
And bid her to wait for his return
Days passed and she waited still
His heart she vowed to earn

He promised that he’d come to her
Leaving wealth and wife behind
One last kiss he gave to her
Sought her heart with his to bind

A whistle was the signal
She strained to hear it in the trees
But alas, there was only silence
In the passing summer breeze

She lived on there for many years
listening for sounds of her paramour
Til one day, she lay down one last time
love's call rides the wind no more
