Heavy Rain

the heavy rain
so greatly needed
has pulled and weighted me
just as the blades of grass
bend down
in hefty drips that cling
the weight of it
is pulling me
quite nearly to the ground

how can I allow
such power of pull
to laden my spirit so
why can I not
just quell with song
of praise to God above

for in my heart
and in my soul
I know Who holds the key
my future’s full secure in Him
there’s nothing up to me

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Very nice and I love the way you present the rain. - Julie
