regal willow leaning there
I am the river of dreams
grow old beside me

give me your shade
let me water your sighs
and seep your roots wet

sway your shadow dance
and make reflections on my smile
look at my eyes looking up

see the sky in my blue greens
see your lovely limbs
entwined in my surface

regal willow leaning there

as usual DS, your metaphors are perfect.  Loved it.

Like the implications of this DS!   Great writing!   They are definitely a mystic type of water tree aren't they? Almost like they talk!   This is just a wonderful read!

When willow grows too old
drooping leaves, disturbing soil
be ready for the fall

let your waters cover me
take me in one last time
saturate me as one

for you fed me beauty
brought life to my limbs
willow feeds your thoughts

You have ways with trees that I can only imagine Dark one..Did you know that the roots of a willow have been found to travel miles for water?..

Sincerely,
Reg

Regina, guess that is what I enjoy
about the willow,
how she will reach so far
for what she needs....

trees are my favorite people too, thanks babe

Bent weeping willow
Shampoos her hair in the pool~
Combs it, green-fingered.

The green willow branch
Hearing the swan's farewell call,
Shivers in the breeze.

Invisible wind,
I know where you are, when the
Soft willows curtsey.

~morning hugs to you Dark~

DarkStranger~

Beside the 'river of dreams'
in sweep of draping bough
Willow's dance captures the wind
skirting her about~

Caressing tendrils
reach thoughts so fair
Touching poet's
with quilling flair~

Regally she reigns
in search of rain
Underground creeping
to moisturized seeping~

Willowed Queen
in loving preen
Swaying words
across the screen~

***Okay !!
Is your post ripe with inspire, or what ?
GREAT post, sir~
And .... thanking you for the thoughts~

DS

Nature is the first teacher...I loved this poem, the symbiotic relationship of the tree and the river can apply to people, yes...quite often.  Smiling at you!

Noah, Thanks SIR!!  Very much for the read and review.

Marge, MMMMMM yes, you do such art to the topic, she (the willow) will feel so lovely today, thanks to you

Ms Martie, yes can be people or nature...as most things can be that we write about, seems we are all one after all.  Thanks babe for the read...waving at you.

bags, thanks for the read and re.

SY,  I suspect it is the tears of pleasure we see there, as she measures her contentment of blending with her river lover...

thanks my friend
