Iambe Watches

She joined our picnic
while he
simmered my summer sun

when he found blades of grass
to tickle my fancy
then more

my soft slap turned to tug
and grimace turned
tickle,
then grinning lightly
"do it again"
a whispered request,

"do it again,
so I might punish
you into forgetting
where you left
the bladeā€

he complied, and plied,

winding ways and
bending curves
taking us both to places
long unexplored
as grander canyon dreams
even Rod could not
imagine
became his
and mine

Iambe winked,
blinked,
her mouth an O
for what she had missed
as well...

the only ants
I found on the pick nicked
ground
where those under my skin
where he had kissed
my summer warm

Enjoyed your gentle rendering of 'slap and tickle'.  Blush!

I'm sure Ron will be pleased to see such a wonderful work about his poetic protagonist.
