Good Bye…Between the Lines (for Ginger Michelle)
By Larry Chadwick

I loved you from the start,

Good Bye
It was a simple thing to do.
Good Bye
Your sweet smile lit up my life,
Good Bye
I was a better person because of you.

It was so much fun to watch you grow,

Good Bye
I relished each and every stage.
Good Bye
You were the daughter of my dreams,
Good Bye
I loved you at any age.

You proved why daughters are so fun,

Good Bye
And that I was right to want one too.
Good Bye
One always seemed to be enough,
Good Bye
Now it seems that it was too few.

I loved the child you became,

Good Bye
And all the mischief you would do.
Good Bye
But most of all, I must say,
Good Bye
I just loved that you were you.

I would never have dreamed,

Good Bye
Of what a lady you would be.
Good Bye
And how you’d make me so very proud,
Good Bye
It was an incredible thing to see.

Your years were gone far too soon,

Good Bye
But you always knew how much I cared.
Good Bye
I’ll never forget the way you were,
Good Bye
And how much of life we shared.

What a beautiful tender goodbye. But she lives on in your heart and in your smile, and the kindness you always offer everyone.

I know the strength it takes
to say goodbye,
but it is always welcome in
my heart, to see others share
their strength, as well...

this is lovely, Larry, and your daughter
is smiling...

This is as perfect as it gets, Larry. One never forgets the love, the person or the memories and yet there is a time when goodbyes must be acknowledged as life goes on as it must. Rememberance and acknowledgement....hand in hand. I salute you, sir

Larry- Hello. I know how hard it is to say goodbye. We all have had to at least once in our lives.

This poem reflects how almost anyone feels about saying goodbye. Goodbye is not forever. It is only until we join them in heaven. It may not be today or tomorrow, but eventually you will be dancing in the clouds among all those who have left us behind. Someday you will walk hand in hand with Ginger (If I may call her that.) Smiles and laughter you will share. You can talk about all your memories that you had and not once will you feel like you were ever wrong.

She knows how much you love her. She knows that you will always be there for her. She too will always be there for you. Just know right now that even though she is not here on earth, She is still looking right down on you. Walking next to you. Helping you and guiding you. She is now your protector.

Godbless and Lots of Love

Larry...

Goodbye hurts..

memories remain to take away the pain...and
to give thanks for the years that you had
her...for they surely were years very
precious to you...

Larry...Goodbyes are so hard and we  should never have to say it to our children...at least we should never have to say a final goodbye to our children...

But she is still with you, Larry and she will always be with you in your heart and in your memories.

~ bless you Larry

Hello Larry

So very tender and heartfelt were your words.  Your love burst through each and every verse and I have no doubt as to how proud your daughter would have been to have such a devoted, loving father as you.

Take care......Sue

I can only imagine that Ginger is up in heaven smiling right now about how she still inspires the best in her father to come out. These tributes to her are more than anyone can ask for in the way of a memory. Through your words, her beauty and charm will live forever.
God bless and my thoughts and prayers remain with you and your family at this time in your life
