Healing pain,
flying free,
is more than apt
to describe me

I loved him once,
I loved him twice
when he left
I found his vice

He loved me much,
or so he said,
I can't even look
where his lies led

I will survive,
though I hurt so much,
I'm not the only one
who's felt heartbreak's touch

I don't know where
to go from here,
but through the pain
I will persevere

I wish that I
could take back the past,
but the lessons I learned
will be unsurpassed

I loved him,
he left me,
in my heart he will
soon be an absentee

I think I'll hold on,
just a little bit longer,
the memories I have
will soon be way stronger

than the love that I feel,
in this moment in time,
the memories I have
will always be mine.

A broken heart may hurt me, but a broken heart won't kill me.

A lovely poem, Sky...
Sometimes pain makes us stronger so that we can heal faster.
