He has been through so many trials
fighting to regain what once was
learning to walk and speak again
and try, Lord only knows that he does!

A dear friend is walking again
but he must still travel many miles
though it is so great to know he talks
and he hasn't lost his wonderful smile.

Many days have been spent
fighting to learn these things again
but there is no doubt in our hearts
that each battle he will surely win!

Each prayer, each thought sent out
added to help his body to heal
and for his spirit inside
on bended knee I now kneel.

"Lord, thank you for making him well
and for helping him to become strong
and giving him back to us
for letting him be where he belongs.

Please bless all of those who have prayed
and sent their many good thoughts
for all the tears they have helped us through
and all the smiles that they have brought."

He walks, he talks again
it is so hard to believe that it's true
what a way to brighten a day
that was spent so long in my blue.

There are truly angels among us
I believe you all have such wings
for who else could give so much love
and the happiness you all bring.

And from me, to each one of you
I am proud to call you my friends
in this beloved circle of poetry
where friendship never ends!!

Donna, I saw your wonderful Announcement!  How happy and pleased I am to see this news!  You know, we put people on our prayer lists, whether we keep them virtually or literally or figuratively speaking, and somehow they don't get off of them until something has been decided...

if Tony has made it this far, chances are...he's going to keep improving...if we JUST keep him on this list...I mean heck, even God must need a nap now and then, y'know?

So, he's staying on mine!

Martie, and still the only thing I can think to say is thank you all so very much.  It is such a great feeling knowing that there is caring in the world, and I don't think there is any better place for that than here at Passions.  Hugs.

Thank you for sharing this with us, Donna...
It sounds as if your friend has put up quite a fight and is winning it.
His victory is giving me a lot of strength right now, when I really need it.
