I tried hard to make her fear me
Shouted warnings loud and clear
To be certain she could hear me
Every time that she came near.

Then I tried to make her tremble
With profound anxiety
So her mind would disassemble
Anythoughts of loving me.

She just smiled at my chest-beating
Silenced protest with her hand,
Kissed my cheek and kept repeating
“There’s no need…. I understand.”

Now I’m lost within the splendor
That surrounds me everywhere
As I let my heart surrender
To the girl I couldn’t scare.

’Deer dearest heart this is utterly amazingly well written, you know for certain that I absolutely adore this. No one paints word pictures with your consummate skill, nobody does it like you. I love the way you layer the scene, build it into a masterpiece, truly exquisite darling boy. You know I’m going to say I love this utterly don’t you? And of course you know I’m smiling brightly

So the Gorilla act just didn't work, hey?
Well, they always say, try, try again...

Probably one of the SHORTEST poems

When a heart is warm and caring,
It cannot be hidden 'Deer,
Yours was never meant for scaring,
For, my friend, it's too sincere.

This was beautiful Michael. It's nice to know that sometimes people do see through to the heart and take a chance. This left me with a big much enjoyed sweet poet.

Best wishes and hugs
/Kit

’Deer Hi there yet again your writing fills me with awe, it’s incredibly well written and so picturesque. You certainly have an incredible talent for sprinkling these blue pages with diamonds and star-studded delights.

You see I’m spending way too much time with my mother I’m beginning to sound like her now, this really is something special and I love it too.
