With Her I can't live this loveless lie anymore, where shadow dreams squeeze my heart, where hands once held shy from touch, eyes that saw the same, see worlds apart. I can't open the doors she's closed push back the veils of dark she's hung, dry the tears from my heart, live in a world without love, anymore. I've laid my soul to rest, walked away, left it there, covered with heartache, green eyes, red hair, broken dreams, promises unkept... I've left it in the bed we share, with the death of the love we knew, I've left it with her, with her... with her. (c)may 2002 wesley james beard, jr.
