Pardon The Garden

~*Marge Tindal*~

Pardon the garden for being so bold
As to strut her beauty in Marigolds
Flaunting her blossoms in hues so bright
Oh she's really done it right~

In summer bed of gorgeous Roses
She spreads her fragrance to our noses
Some make it inside to crystal vase
to gaze at me daily on breakfasting face~

Red Butterfly Penta's in flirty beckoning
coax delicate flutter-byes winging
Flitting the air from bed to bed
gathering nectar to fill their heads~

Impatiens in hues of fuschia and red
dance with the purple ones in the bed
Oh, it brings me to my knees
to see the beauty of the Peonies~

Pardon the garden for strutting her stuff
decked out in the finery of prissy and fluff~

~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~

Oh this is adorable, and so sweet, Marge...
It just gives me such a good uplifting feeling.
My old house was deep in the woods and it was so shady that the only flowers we could grow were impatiens...so we had them all over the yard.  I also planted some violets in the woods and they started coming up in the green thing which we called a lawn.
Eventually, we tore out the whole lawn and put myrtle and pachysandra in because the lawn just couldn't compete with all of the tree roots from the forest and it needed some sun, which we didn't have.
I have always wanted to grow things, but I also love living in the woods...this condo is in the woods also, but our deck faces south and so we have some plants in pots out there and they do okay....

Your poem is gorgeous!

Marge~

You've given the flowers such personality here!  I love it!

Impatiens in hues of fuschia and red
Dance with the purple ones in the bed

I can see them...frollicking and laughing!

Thanks for the images!

What a joy filled, happy poem. Seems you and Bill were busy with the bloomers. It would be great to see a picture of your labor.  Hugs, Marti

For the garden is but my delight
as she dips in breezy curtsey and sway
Pardon my Garden, it says to me
as it morning-glory-fies our day...

Pardon the garden?
I don't think I can
she's going her own way
just ignoring my plan

This year she thought
Let's throw in some weed
The kind that is nasty
And she did it indeed

Stinging nettles up to my head
Goudweed I certainly can miss
Pardon the garden!
But.....still beautiful she is

Roses galore, their heads up high
Lovely fragrance when you pass by

I wanna see pics Marge!!!

Margie girl darling sister of my heard this is excellent writing, thank you for showing me such beauty. I’ve spent the day in the garden planting the baskets sorting out the lawns and so on.

This is an absolutely beautiful poem that positively blooms with colour and delight I love this utterly utterly. Always darling heart you write words that shine with wonder and delight, and this is exceptional

Love and warm stuff
As always

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the eathquake wind and fire

Beautiful Marge!
Are there fairies at the bottom of your garden?
Bet there are!
just as there are in mine.
Love this piece...smells wonderful as well.

No pardon does this garden get
For if I could be there, I'd just bet
I'd love its strutting, it sounds first rate -
A wonderful place to luxuriate!
