A mass of land between two oceans

"Midnight shakes the memory
as a Madman shakes a dead Geranium"-T.S.Eliot "Rhapsody on a Windy Night"

(first and foremost),
I am a pencil grasped
by a terrible giant equipped with terrible whiskers
and a head faded high into the timultuous sky

whose grungy feet, dig endless
trenches and trenches and abysses
endless, forward always
with Toenails scratching,
picking foggy shapeless truths
  into dark existence under blinking
street lamps with specks of dirt

   spiders are under the sheets
   and curtains and walls
   and your skin

Too long underwater
Massive white whales and drowning crucifixes
slowly tear the way
to the bottom of the
at the end of
down below

    spiders are under the sheets
    and curtains and walls
    and your skin

Spiders under the skin
Perfumed painted skin
skin wrapped tight around an idea
  never comfortable

it rips at my seams and pours onto my tongue
aching until i can see no more
  But she is blind
  I am blind
  God may be blind

and i am afraid to hum the street lamp
into operation
To hear the ragged clawas scuttling
across the floors of silent seas
To know the Rhapsody of a Rainy Night

My poor little daisy's been bent

I know what I am
