The Shores of Alone

I am a glass of ruby tint
still usable, but semi cracked
A tear runs through the heart of me
growing larger with each nights' lack.

The crimson wine still holds within
though litle drops are leaking through
you yet may sip, but take it slow
it could be that your lips turn blue.

Each time you push me out of reach
the crack grows just a little more
But I will not completely break
not even thrown onto the floor.

I am a glass which yearns to toast
to happiness and love that's real
however, if I'm put away
this crack in me may never heal.

WOW! I really like this one. I'm putting it away on a safe shelf, but it will not get ignored. Well done, Sandra!

Sandra
It would be a sad day if you were put away.
However, we all know that's not going to happen so write on in peace and happiness!
This is great reading!

(big hugggssssss) Oh Sandra, this is so very sad, sweet friend, I too am an optimistic person usually but I too desire love so much and without it, I know how you feel! (sigh) My heart goes out to you, sweet friend, love will always find a way, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sandra, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Someone like you will not be put away for long I can see, this is filled with hope and need together... a two things that work well together

Strive for higher levels, if they seem out of reach... Grow, and they will get closer.

Sandra darling girl this was as usual for you utterly utterly wonderful. Do you know how utterly beautiful this poem is? The style is pure you, breathtakingly lovely and the execution is without doubt one of your finest ever.

You always manage to write emotion and description so well. I’m simply stunned I love it utterly.

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the eathquake wind and fire
Oh
