The Sun Is Shining But

I think back to yesterday
as I close my eyes
while resting here.
Existence was a thing of joy,
could smell the roses
before crossing the threshold.

The delight in the warmth of sunshine
could raise my spirits,
the thought of you could raise
the wild, temptation always
getting the best of me.

I am breaking in two, a part of me dieing
for the lack, the chance, the knowing
slipping away and no way to slow it down.
The sun is shining but...
the clouds are on their way.

Maureen darling girl this is utterly utterly perfect, do I like it? I love it your words are so beautiful, they cover my soul with wonder. You are an amazing writer and your images are simply divine. This is truly amazing the building up of a heart soul and love, before they seem to disappear, as always you’ve painted the picture so well. I love this utterly

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Absolutely perfect poetry

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the eathquake wind and fire
Oh

Maureen
This is a very sad write. A brief but effective summation of the love in your life.
Written down in melancholy beauty.
Like Mark Knophler wrote in one of his songs....."There's always sunshine after rain"
Sunshine will shine on you again kiddo just you wait!!
