Say you will be there
When I cannot find my way
Please help me find the words
When I struggle for something to say

Will you please be my eyes
When I lose my guiding light
And put your arms around me
When the day turns into night

Say you'll hold my hand
As I search for the right track
I desperately need your guidance
Please get these demons off my back

Say you'll be beside me
As I face up to my fears
Don't let me drown alone
Amongst my neverending tears

Stop my heart from breaking
Use a needle and thread
Disguise all of these scars
From where my heart has bled

Give me inner strength
For I have lost the will to fight
The enemy lives inside me
Out of mind and out of sight

You write so well and convey the feelings in your heart. I thought of the misconception that someone else can give us what we cannot give ourselves...beautiful write. ThisDiamond

Thank you all for your comments.  I have to say that I was feeling very low when I wrote this yesterday and the words just came so readily.  Obviously my sadness and raw emotion came across to others.  I'm sorry for being so down.  Maybe I need a break from writing as it has made me so very emotional lately (more than normal).

Take care.....Sue

Sue,

I think many of us have felt this emotion at
one time or another....

Sometimes it helps even more to sit down and
write out the feelings,  getting really deep
into them...even if you share them only with
yourself...

All of us make mistakes in our lives that
affect others we love....We might not express
the love to them,  but it is truly there.

You cannot change others in your life, and
vice versa....  Just try to remember that
the only thing you can change...is YOU...
And even then,  patience is needed...and
faith...

HUGS..

No matter who is around you, the path is always yours to walk alone. iT is so true, the enemy is within ourselves and it takes so much strength to overcome.
This reslly strikes a familiar cord, your emotions so powerfully expressed

Hi Sue!

Time to wrap your arms around yourself (as you do the rest of us) and ride out the storm.  This too will pass--low points never seem to pass fast enough. Oscar Wilde said "Suffering is one long moment." Please be patient with yourself.

Hugs!

Hi Sue - Gosh this is so sad and I truly hope you are feeling a bit better. Don't give up or give in to those dark feelings. Your Dad is with you and would want you to be happy. Being strong and tough when your heart is breaking is so darn hard. Hang in there....a lot of us are pulling for you.  Hugs, Marti
