He comes to me in dreams again
as real as anything could be
His kiss a memory no more
Those crystal eyes I clearly see.

His hands start fires in my soul
this voice, the one I always hear
He holds me, never to release
no longer are there endless tears.

Where does he go when I wake up?
So suddenly I lose it all
He's gone, I cannot make him stay
my heart, thus broken, once more falls.

(big huggsssssss) Oh Sandra, I know just how you feel, I am in love with the most beautiful girl I could ever dream of, Joanna, and this last week I have missed her even more for I haven't seen her on-line and I just want to tell her when she's on how much I love her and for her to echo it back! (sad sigh) Hang in there, sweet friend, with a golden heart like yours love is bound to come to your heart so very soon, I just know it will, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sandra, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Sandra,

You share such a magnificent dream with us
through your poetry...

One day...he will ride into your life and
forever be with you as you dream...

Cat, absolutely, beautifully, done.  And as long as the dream is alive, reality,  though out of sight maybe, also lives.  The heart must have a goal in order to survive and the beauty of a heart with a dream like yours touches the lives of so many; inspires them to dream themselves.

May your dreams become reality, my friend, and may your reality be more than you've ever dreamed.

Thanks for such meaningful responses, everyone. It feels like not so many people read my poems lately, so I so appreciate those who do.

Where does he go when I wake up?
So suddenly I lose it all

I think that's why the mornings seem to be the hardest time, ya know?

Those dream lovers obviously can't be trusted.
Seriously this is a clever write about the sensation of loving one in your dreams.
I enjoyed the read!

Damn, don’t you just hate it when you wake up???? Though, I dream as much in the waking world as the sleeping one. My mother always used to say I had my head in the clouds!! (hey not a bad place to be!!)

He comes to me in dreams again

His kiss a memory no more

This really hit me hard, Sandra....
When I woke up this morning, I had been dreaming about my first husband...and then when I woke up....he was gone.  I kept trying to get back into that dream again but couldn't.
It was just 3 years ago last week that he died, so he has been on my mind a lot lately.

But like you, I wonder where he goes when I wake up?
Indeed, I wonder where he is right now.

~ dreamy hugs
