Who Could Know?

Who could have thought of this?
That you and I would find such bliss
I never would imagined you
Would be the one who’d feel so true
That we would match in heart and soul
You’d be the one to make me whole
I would not have looked and thought
This is the love I’ve always sought

Who would have said that we’d be one?
Together we’d lie in love’s sun
I couldn’t have known you would be
The love I searched for endlessly
That I’d need to hear your soft sighs
Or I’d wish to drown in your eyes
Why didn’t I know any of this?
The magic held in your sweet kiss

Who could have explained this to me?
That you were the one certainly
Why didn’t I know way back then?
The misconceptions of time’s when
Who would think that we’d be a pair?
That we would find we really care?
The truth is that you do love me
And I love you eternally

Marsha

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the eathquake wind and fire
Oh

Wonderful tribute to your loved one.
He is one lucky fellow
More, please.  Much more!

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

Ummmm... Marsha? *G* If this IS for Toe, I'd like to suggest that you include full armor when you pack to visit the U.S... for I'll be after you with my baseball bat!!!! LOL

I hope no one tells her my bark is MUCH worse than my bite. *G*

I enjoyed this very much, Marsha... he is a lucky guy. *S*

Marsha, who could know indeed.. but it's just when you have practically given up that this happens, isn't it?

Wonderful writing, love.. keep it up.

I love that line... terrific feeling in this, Marsha.  You two are lucky to have each other!
