Wanting Eyes

~*Grandma Marge*~

She looks at me with wanting eyes
full of questioning surprise
Listening to the verses sweet
that Grandma whispers in repeat~

It's as though she really knows
each phrasing thought that I compose
For her ears only, Grandma rhymes
poetic thoughts at sleepy-bye time~

She stretches, turns and looks at me
her wanting eyes saying, "One more please."

*Inspiration from an e-mail from Maggie/FlutterWings (I knew that !)
with a sweet comment on Delaney's 'wanting eyes'~
Thank you dear lady~

And what person could turn away from those
wanting eyes without giving all of their
heart to a precious little darling like
Delaney....

You are such a lady and certainly a most
wonderful Grandmother...

Oh Marge!  This is just too sweet!
And it looks as though she is looking right
at your mouth as you form the words!
Amazing!  What a sweetheart!
You are so blessed.

Marge~ This is too sweet!
I miss those little eyes in the faces that I was once responsible for and loved so dearly.
I'm sure that a Grandmother's love is twice the reward that daycare could ever be, but there is nothing like the innocent eyes of a child looking back at yours.  This made me miss the days....and keeps them fresh in my mind.  Truly it does~

How could she not love your poetry? *G* She probably thinks she's the luckiest little girl in the world... for her nursery rhymes are custom written and penned with love! *S*

This is great, Marge... what a beauty she is! *S*

I love you Gramma, these eyes do speak ~
I love you more week after week ~
I know my wanting eyes want more ~
Look, see what my heart has in store ~

It beats for you, but you can't see ~
all the love I have deep within me ~
Look deep within these wanting eyes ~
and Gramma, I know your eyes will cry ~

Not sad tears, but tears of joy
as you watch me play with all my toys
but, I'd rather look within your eyes
because, that is where love really lies.

See, what those eyes do to me... they get me off on a poetic tangent...

One touching poem  ~~~ She does have wanting eyes... Love and peace, Maggie ((~.~))

P.S. It's not flutterbox but, flutterwings... just thought I'd clear that up...

I just want to kiss and hug those beautiful pudgy cheeks. And the wonder in her eyes!  Mmmm!!! She is such a dollface and I can't believe how much she's grown. Gosh, she'll be running circles around you and Bill anyday now.
Keep whispering those poetic words to her and telling her stories of her heritage. Hugs, Marti

Marge:  Just a precious picture and poem. She also has "wondering" eyes.  You can see
such curiosity there.  Wouldn't it be fun to know what she is thinking?

Auntie Margie girl Hi there I’m so behind with my reading and replying mum has had me working like a Trojan, I do believe I have blisters on my fingertips from all the stuff she’s had me doing. They are though worth the effort so I’ll stop moaning and wait to reap the accolades in September Your writing is incredibly beautiful carrying within it an indefinable quality that shows the worth of the love. We all have our favourite writers, Mum adores your writing as you know, and you know how I feel about it YOU are incredibly talented. Your writing is incredibly descriptive and well presented and when you write with your hearts ink you surely shine. YOU are one of the stars that light the heavens.

This is superb writing, and it will stay with me for I’m keeping this special treasure piece of yours.

Love and warm stuff
