Last Chance

Drifting in the place
Of tomorrow’s dreams
She found a golden promise
Holding it before the light
She stared into it
Half believing it and yet………

Not

Daring to trust her luck
Why should she
Believe in dreams now?
They had never
Come true
Never once
Had her dreams of
Wanting and having
Turned into
Truth……..

Not once

Should she return it?
Should she?
Simply replace it there
On the ground
Where it was
Half concealed
In the
Remnants of
Yesterdays sorrows
Or last nights
Tears

Should she?
Would she?

What would you do?
Would you slide the
Golden promise
Into your heart
Hoping its light would
Warm you and chase
Away the sadness

Or would you replace it?
Knowing you aren’t
Ever that lucky

You decide for her

Yes or No…….
Be careful how you
Choose
For this might be
Her last

Chance

And while thy willing soul transpiers
at every pore with instant fires

Such a tough choice....and such a tough
feeling for her...

Decisions, decisions....sometimes the heart
makes decisions for us...those that our mind
won't let us....

Maybe,  just follow the heart...

Beautiful poem...very nice Krissy

Hello Krissy

I don't think you can go wrong if you follow your heart and your instincts.  This was very well written and much enjoyed.

Take care.....Sue

Well, don't necessarily agree you can't go wrong...following...but sometimes it's still the best way to go....enjoyed..

I've enjoyed reading this poem Krissy.  On the poem, the key is to be true to oneself

This is what stuck out best,
Krissy...would you?
Why wouldn't you...?

KrissyGal~

No doubt about it ... I'd ...

'slide the
Golden promise
Into your heart
Hoping its light would
Warm you and chase
Away the sadness'

Yeppers !  That's what I did alright~
