Tango
By: Noah Eaton
5/26/02

Here in the portenos I feel invisible
Could it be all I believe in was irresponsible?
I am an immigrant in a strange place full of strange people
Just an infidel without a dream
Just a rebel dwelling in misery...

I couldn't tell if I was alive or dead
Then I heard your heartbeat that helped me resurrect
I heard drumbeats pulsing a harmonious melody in my head
That night the moon wore a crochet slip dress
I couldn't get you out of my head

Querés bailar?
Sí, gracias
Querés bailar?
Por favor, una vez más!

Come on love, let's get dizzy dancing tango
We'll sweep this dancing floor like a tornado
You are my affection, you are my obsession
So I give you my invited attention
Adelante, atras, al costado
Left and right we'll bask in the moonlights indigo
Tap up your toes and let your hips sway
Just promise me that you will stay...

Now I have a reason to rehearse the bandoneon
We'll leave the rest of our desires to the host's violin
Doesn't it feel good to lean on high heels every now and then?
So put those feet on the floor and let your arms and legs do all the work
Get out and see what its all about

Querés bailar?
Sí, gracias
Querés bailar?
Por favor, una vez más!

Come on love, let's get dizzy dancing tango
We'll sweep this dancing floor like a tornado
You are my affection, you are my obsession
So I give you my invited attention
Adelante, atras, al costado
Left and right we'll bask in the moonlights indigo
Tap up your toes and let your hips sway
Just promise me that you will stay...

Stay and dance...
Stay and dance...
Stay and dance with me...

"Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..."

Mmmm, oh Noah....how I love the tango!
This reminds me of that movie...
'Scent of a Woman'...remember?
The tango is SO sexy!
Well done sweetie.

Wow, a tango! Happy graduation, Noah. Now are you ready for the WORK TANGO? or are you heading off to college, another type of tango?

Hey Noah, I really like this one! It's different from your usual style, but I think that this is one of the best that I've read from you I'm going to put this in my library, I like it so much! Way to go on this!

I know Karate, Kung Fu, and 47 other dangerous words

I have to agree with Skyfire, this is unusual for you, but absolutely a surprise I loved.  Very lovely Noah, and you set the mood very well.
