A Fall Back On Character To what's only in my mind and not always before the eyes I hold a little bit of everything in everything I do I can roam the entire world all from one place Then, come back to myself just to share it with you... For, when I am lost in my own visions of this world Or, even dazed in the images that we all can see A part of my soul rejoices in that extra bit of heaven It's just a fall back on character of myself in me... When I take in the mighty waters that run along our grounds I capture their rapid or calm efforts to the land Cause, each time the waters come forth it gives meaning to life Then, washes back taking remaining sadness from the sands... There's the waters that come to us in an aimlessly fall from grace As when the rains they pour or just dampen the earth It's a fall back on my character of what I inhale from this view I give into the rains and perceive the grounds impatient thirst... When I witness the colors arranged in their unique style I stand still to the awesome shades and their vibrant rays It's a fall back on character of what lies here within me For that sunset, with glorious hands, our Father made... I take on the colors to represent how they each hold their own Because, at some point, I've lived each one by my side I hold truth there's more to be seen then can ever be seen With this fall back on character of nature engraved in my life... Evergreens in the distance stretched as high as our sun Give me vivid dreams of one being spiritually higher inside And, if I allow myself to climb that rocky path to the top My fall back on character will give a closer reach between nature and I... You'll find me shedding tears for the lost souls with nowhere to go Or, when deep hunger haunts the hearts of the lost but never found It's a fall back on character of myself to want to reach my hand to their soul Giving and wishing they could find serenity in it's hymn like sounds... To seek the lonely and show them we all sometimes fall Is my fall back on character to give their identity a lift All along I'll take from me and give all they need It's just my fall back on character to want to give one this... When I happen upon a night much more still then before My fall back on character of myself leaves me wanting more I take in the breeze, any winds seen, for each place I've been And, soar with just the character of who I really am... And what a lovely poetic character you are, with words always flowing in nature's bounty, in natural rhythm, as an ocean's ebb and flow, advancing, then falling back to renew itself. |
