Clean your ears out Melanie
you’re six years old today
clean your ears out Melanie
I hope you’ll hear us say

We’re going out to the store
to get some gold earrings
the woman that does the piercing
she’ll be thankful if they’re clean

Melanie you’re so sweet my dear
let’s go to Wal-Mart now
it won’t hurt but a little bit
you’ll maybe just say “Ow!”

Remember when you wear them
they belong just in your ears
not your nose or other places,
that would just bring us tears

We love you Melanie!
