The Shores of Alone

0 posted 2002-05-25 09:54 AM

There is a vacant space within
where love used to reside and glow
an absence of a soul mate true
just vast unsatisfying cold.

The lack grows with each passing day
until it turns me inside out
vulnerability exposed
nothing to hold, just life without.

I try each day to fill the space
with poetry and friends and wine
yet come each night, I feel the lack
and know that love is not yet mine.

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Sandra, I know just how you feel, while I feel happier than ever having friends like you and everyone at Passions and having my dream girl Joanna, I want her so badly and without her I still feel sad and incomplete! (sigh) My heart goes out to you, sweet friend, hang in there, love will always find a way, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sandra, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Like coming to a home,  sitting at a table
with only one chair, one place setting..
Looking across the table to emptiness...
Hoping that one day.....the table will be
set for two...

HUGS Sandra...

I know this feeling, Sandra...

After my first husband died, it seemed to me that the whole world was paired off but I was alone.

Love will find you, Sandra...but you have to not be looking for it.  It seems like strange advice....go out and don't look for love...but, thats when it always seems to find people.

I hope you are feeling better.

What a familiar and painful song this is Sandra. Mind if l take a seat by you at the piano and sing along?….I’ll bring the wine.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

Thank you for writing my mind dear poet, know that you are not alone.  All I wish for these days is a true friend to be there for me in my more occasional times of need lately and have trouble finding even that.  It is a cruel joke that gets played on us, it's hard to keep on going sometimes thinking "I already know this is going to be a failure without even looking past the cover."  Keep trying though my friend, keep trying.

Strive for higher levels, if they seem out of reach... Grow, and they will get closer.

Nice write Sandra.

Our poetry it fills a void and takes away the thought
The wine evades the sorrows cling, our friends a cure sort

The empty bed is filled with pain and tears that fill the night
But time it is our hope and dream to make our lefts turn right

Be strong and write the poetry that makes you better feel
Enjoy your wine and friends of true to help your feelings deal

Say a little prayer or two to help you on your way
And surely cupid he will call to fill each night and day
Take care and may love find you.

Sincerely Rick
