I weaved the Sun into my hair
Laced the moon beneath my chin
Dripped constellations in my eyes
Poured planets o'er my skin

I made my shirt of angel's breath
My mantle, emerald sea
My halo's sum of galaxies
Yet I'm still no match for Thee

But the heart is a hopeful hunter
And bold the Poets say
So despite the difference in grace
Would you be mine, anyway?

Paul hello there, this is simply gorgeous, absolutely perfect. The flow of this river of words is a questing soul. Beautifully written, well done.
You know I love this don’t you? Of course I do

What a wonderful debut from you I look forward to reading more of your work

Welcome to Passions I’m sure you will find this a very loving friendly place

Love and light

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the eathquake wind and fire
Oh

I had a feeling when I saw that you first registered that we would have a romantic poet in our midst...glad to see I was right...

Welcome to Passions!  If you have any questions, just check with a moderator...we're here to help and get you acquainted.

Looking forward to reading more from you!

The imagery in this is superb and the romantic intend of this lovely inspire is poetic perfection...a cadenced kissed gem of pen, and an impresive entrance as well.
Welcome to Poetry Land Paul...so nice to have you here with us poet sir.

This was a cross between your brilliance and your humility. And a great self portrait... this was an awesome first post.

Cherish the good memories past and look forward to the adventure called Tomorrow.
But above all... be kind to yourself today.

YES! Uh oh, you weren't asking me. HAHA. Great first post, or any post number for that matter. Welcome.  And I immediately thought of Les Miserables when I saw your name, and almost said welcome Jean Valjean.
