I have been flashing my camera for days, with so many events going on
Each picture I take tells a story, it sings a very special song
8th grade graduation, farewell partys, I've been taking pictures of all of you
My children of the heart, do you know what you mean to me...do you have a clue

You think I'm crazy...for I cry when you tell me the sweet things you say
Then when you think I'm not looking...I watch you and you smile, bringing such happiness to my day
The tough acts you portray, both girls and boys too
Just goes to show me the toughest are really the softest, but scared to show their colors true

I'm putting together this scrapbook, so that I'll carry you with me wherever I may go
Why the wet spots upon the pages, you ask wanting to know
Well those are the tears I cry, when I think of how special each of you are
Each of you has your own guiding light, and I watch you sparkle like a star

Some of you are leaving, and while this saddens me it also makes me smile
After all you weren't mine to begin with...I just got to borrow you for a while
So go home, where you truly belong...and hold this place in your heart and soul
Know you've made a difference in this woman...we've all helped to make each other whole

Those that are staying, lets make some more precious memories, and flash that camera some more
So that when you too go, I'll remember my little Angels that to me will always soar
When you're grown up, and perhaps don't know where I'll be
Look deep inside your hearts and ALWAYS know that's where you can find me.
