This is my entry for a weekly competition at a place called Writer's Prompt, at www.writersprompt.com
I joined for a 30 day trial period, which allows me to enter weekly competitions and also to judge other entries.....$25 is the prize.
there were two other entries this week with mine and mine is rated in second place so far.....the competition ends at 7 am May 24th.

hands across the sea

hands across the sea
of time and space
spanning decades
closing the distance
to touch past and present
joining two linear points

hands across the sea
of imagination
bridging thought to reality
image to tangibility
to touch a spark to life
and give rise to visions

hands across the sea
of aversion
binding against carnage
of the mind
to touch with healing
and mend all wounds

hands across the sea
of indecision
transcending doubt
instilling hope
to touch a people
and change a destiny

hands across the sea
of tranquillity
where peace abides
and sings hearts
to touch every soul
with sweet compassion

Ooo, yum! Y'know, "hands across the sea" reminds me of "hands across the water (water)" from tha' Paul McCartney song ... what's it called? Uncle Albert/Admiral Hansley or somethin'....

Anyway -- I really, really enjoyed this. (thumbs s' up)
